Frequently asked questions
Why isn't Xmac on the Mac App Store?
Input methods, trackpad gestures, NTFS write and app removal need permissions the App Store doesn't allow. Xmac is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it normally with no warnings.
How does the trial work? How soon do I get my key?
Everything is unlocked for your first 14 days. Buy when you are ready — the key usually arrives within a minute of your transfer, on your order page and by email. Card payments are coming soon.
What if I get a new Mac?
Each key works on 3 Macs. Deactivate the old one in Settings → License and the key is free to use on the new one.

What permissions does Xmac need?
Typing and Cut & Paste need Accessibility access. Each permission is only requested when you turn on the feature that needs it.
